Perfectly potted with flaring sides rising to an everted rim, each painted in fine enamels and decorated on the interior with a central medallion of interlaced foliate scroll forming a ruyi-head band enclosing shou characters forming a star-pattern, the exterior with archaistic shield-shaped designs flanked by foliate scrolls below C-shaped ornaments at the rim, the base inscribed in under-glaze blue with a six-character seal mark. Both in very fine conditions, a insignificant firing spot on one of the dishes, visible on the catalogue illustration.
