A LARGE FAMILLE-ROSE PORCELAIN 'HUNDRED BATS' DISH, CHINA, QING DYNASTY, MARK AND OF THE PERIOD GUANGXU (1875-1908)
With gently curved sides rising from a short tapering foot, enameled to the interior and exterior with a brightly decoration overall with a lively multitude of iron-red bats in flight amidst scattered trefoil ruyi-head clouds in green, blue, pink and pale yellow palette, all within a narrow gilt and iron-red band below the rim. The base with six character mark in iron red. In good conditions apart for a small restoration on the rim, probably to cover a series of small chips, very minor firing imperfections and slightly wear to surface.
