RARO VASO IN PORCELANA BIANCA E BLU, CINA, DINASTIA MING (1368-1644), FOUR CHARACTER XUANDE MARK, EPOCA XVI SECOLO
A RARE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN JAR, CHINA, MING DYNASTY (1368-1644), FOUR CHARACTER XUANDE MARK, 16TH CENTURY
of square section with flaring sides, a high rounded shoulder to a short tapering neck and a nearly flat mouth-rim, the sides are painted in under-glaze blue with two pairs of ducks amid lotus plants, and two pairs of cranes, between a band of flower-filled lappets around the foot, and a band of ruyi lappets and flowers around the shoulder, a geometric border surrounds the neck. The recessed base is painted in underglaze blue with a four-character Xuande mark within a double square lines; in very good condition, only minor scratches and a firing iron spot, two very small areas unglazed
